One activity that helps me close this gap is to put events on my calendar that might not normally seem like tasks worthy of a specific time commitment. That includes walking or going to the gym or taking a break to water the plants in the backyard. Having it on the calendar makes it more real and gives me permission to do those things that could very easily fall through the gap.
