A Father's Love

In Honor of the Men Who've Shaped Us

With Father's Day just yesterday, today's affirmation is dedicated to fathers of all kinds.

To the dads who raised us.

To the ones we miss deeply.

To the new dads navigating sleepless nights and learning as they go.

To the soon-to-be dads anticipating what's to come (shoutout to my brother!).

To the dog and cat dads, bonus dads, stand-in dads, and chosen father figures.

To every man who has shown up with love, strength, and presence—this one's for you.

Although I don't live near my dad, he started a tradition years ago that helps bridge the distance and deepen our bond. Every morning, he sends a text to my brother and me, just a quick note about his day, and a thoughtful wish for ours. It's simple, but it means everything. A reminder that the little things matter. And next month, I'll get to witness him step into a brand-new role as a grandpa. Or, as we've already dubbed him, G.Daddy. It's a love that expands across generations, and I know he'll carry it with the same intention and heart he's shown us all.

To those of us missing our dads or navigating complicated relationships with them, this message holds space for you, too. Your experience is valid. Let this be a place of love, remembrance, and grace.

Affirmation: I honor the men and father figures in my life, past and present. I carry their love, lessons, and legacy with me.

So, if we haven't done it already, let's:

🙏🏻 Say thank you: whether in person, in prayer, or in memory.

🙌🏼 Acknowledge the men who've nurtured, guided, and supported us.

🫶🏼 Reflect on what fatherhood has meant in our lives and how we can carry those values forward.

Fatherhood can take on many forms, but at its core, it's about protection, presence, and love.
